James Christopher Plunket

James C. Plunket, Esq., 95, of Washington Ave, Kingston, died Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Kingston Hospital after a short illness.

He was a graduate of Ellenville High School, Cornell University and Albany Law. He served in the US Army, European Theater of Operations.
He had practiced law in the Kingston area for over 50 years. He was born May 16, 1916 in New Rochelle, NY and was the son of the late Owen T. and Nora Morse Plunket. He was married for over 60 years to Belle Ayers Plunket, who predeceased him on November 26, 2001.

Mr. Plunket is survived by his loving family, his children Sheila and Wayne Tremper, James and Gale Plunket, Barbara Irwin, Charles and Terry Plunket and Nancy and John Tennis, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson James "JJ" Tremper and his brothers Eugene, Charles and Thomas Plunket

Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave..The family will receive their friends on Friday from 3 - 6 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm, the Rev. James Alley officiating.
