James A. Callanan

James "Jim" A. Callanan, Jr., 58, of Grand View Ave. and the Academy Green Group Home, Kingston passed peacefully Monday morning June 17, 2013 at the Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 1, 1955 in Kingston, the son of the late James A. and Dorothy Holtz Callanan.



Jim was a graduate of Emma Wygant School and for many years he had worked for Gateway Community Industries of Kingston,



He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church, loved music and was an avid Beatles Fan, he was a member of RAH, he was in a bowling league, a member of YMCA and Fitness Unlimited



Jim is survived by his sisters, Dorothy C. Weishaupt of Kingston and Patricia A. Callanan of Delmar, his "brothers" Frank Weishaupt, Ed Carloni and Rick "McGuyver" Zadlo, two nieces Bridget and Allison, two nephews FJ and Evan, a great niece Jessica, great nephews Joseph and Cooper, great grand niece Khloe and great grand nephew Logan.



Entrusted to the care of the Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave. The family will receive their friends on Thursday from 4 - 7 pm. The procession will form on Friday at 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated St. Joseph's RC Church on Friday at 12 noon.

Burial in Wiltwyck Cemetery.



The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity that helps those with special needs.
