Jack L Williamson, 81, formerly of Esopus Avenue, Kingston, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Mountain View Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre, New Paltz. He was born October 2, 1931 in Freeport, NY the son of the late John C and Ethel Mae Croucher Williamson. For many years, along with his wife Kay, he operated Jack's Stationary on Broadway in Kingston. He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, animals, especially cats and he loved dining out. Surviving in addition to his wife, the former Kay M. Barger are his son, Jack L. Williamson Jr; two nieces, Petra Kaiser and her husband Barry Sr.; Robin Thorbjornsen and her husband Steve and four great- nieces and nephews, Barry Kaiser Jr. and Jennie Kaiser and Steve Thorbjornsen and Joseph Guido. Cremation and inurnment at Wiltwyck Cemetery were private under the direction of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ulster County SPCA.
