Jack Katz of Downs Street, Kingston died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. He was 84.
He was born in Brooklyn on May 22, 1922 a son of the late Morris and Rose Katz.
Mr. Katz served in the US Army during WW II in the European Theater of Operations. He married Rachelle Benkiel on April 3, 1952.
For 37 years Mr. Katz worked at I.B.M., Kingston as a Lab Specialist.
A 52 year area resident, he belonged to Temple Emanuel.
His brothers Harry and Herman Katz died previously.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 54 years, Rachelle Katz, are two daughters Marilyn Harding of Visalia, California and Sandra Katz and her husband John Aronis of Pittsburgh, Pennsylanvia; one son Mory Katz and his wife Amy of Katonah, New York; three grandchildren Aaron and Kimberly Katz and Audrey Aronis.
