Irving Feinberg of Michele Drive, Monticello died Monday, January 30, 2006 at the Isabella Geriatric Center, NYC. He was 88. He was born in Rock Hill, NY on May 22, 1917, a son of the late Jacob and Rose (nee Feinberg) Feinberg. Mr. Feinberg was raised in High Falls, NY. Following the death of his wife Sylvia in 1965, he moved to Monticello. A successful business person, he first owned a grocery store and then an appliance store, both in High Falls. He then owned a cabinet shop in Middletown and then real estate and mortgage brokerage in Monticello. While living in High Falls, he belonged to Congregation Ahavath Israel. He was a current member of Temple Shalom, Monticello. Surviving are his wife Dorothy; one daughter Judith Feinberg Goodman and her husband Stephen of White Plains, two sons David Louis Firestone Feinberg and his wife Susan Becker Feinberg of Manhattan, and Joel Mark Feinberg of Monticello; his son-in-law, Mitchell Livingston of Mahwah, NJ; one sister Lena Lipton and her husband Dr. Benjamin Lipton of Poughkeepsie; seven grandchildren Joshua and Rachel Goodman, Gabriel and Zachary, Tanya and Adam Feinberg, and Joseph Seth Livingston; two nephews Stephen and his wife Lynn and Leonard Lipton; a great niece Jody Lipton, a great nephew Robert Lipton. He is also survived by his step children Lisa Hariton and her husband Victor, Lloyd Wagner and his wife Fern; three step grandchildren Henry Bear Hariton, Danielle and Jonathan Wagner. His daughter Rae Ellen Livingston died July 30, 1990. Two sisters Bessie and Sarah Feinberg both died previously. Funeral services will be conducted today, Tuesday, at 11:00 AM at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston. Rabbi Tamar Crystal will officiate.
