Irene T. Calcaterra

Newtown, CT- Irene T. Calcaterra, formerly of Palenville and Penstock Lane, Lake Katrine died Monday, August 4, 2003 at Danbury Hospital. She was 84. She was born April 2, 1919 in Orange, NJ, a daughter of the late Joseph and Clotilde Brattesani Signorini. In 1980, she retired from Ulster Savings Bank as head teller. She was a volunteer for the American Heart Association. She is survived by her husband, Mario whom she married July 19, 1942. Also surviving is her son, Dennis of Aurora, CO and her daughter, Jo-Ann Durdock of New Milford, CT. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. A sister, Marie Bergamo died previously. Repsosing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Fri. from 2-4 & 6 -8 pm. The funeral procession will form on Sat. at 9:30 am from the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart Church in Palenville. Burial will follow in Palenville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association, 396 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401
