Irene Grace Panos

Irene G. Panos, 79, of Skytop, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, September 4, 2015 at Golden Hill Health Care Center surrounded by her loving husband, sister and church family. She was born September 1, 1936 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Wilbert VanDemark and Isabella VanDemark Karlsen.

She was the wife of the Rev. Alex J Panos, they wed on June 16th, 1962.

Mrs. Panos was a graduate of Kingston High School and North Central Bible College and School of Missions in Minneapolis, Minnesota

She was a very dedicated and active member of the Lomontville Assembly of God, serving in many capacities. She loved to work with children, and for many years was the Children's Church Director. She enjoyed teaching and telling bible stories.

Through out her life she served the Lord by being the devoted spouse of Pastor Panos. Additionally she worked as secretary for the New York Bible Society and the Baptist Church of the Redeemer.


In addition to her husband she is survived by her sister; Florence M Warwick of Kingston, her brother and sister in law, Nick Panos and his wife Frieda and several nieces and nephews.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, the family will receive their friends on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. The service will be Saturday, 10:00 am at Lomontville Assembly of God, Rev. Matthew McIntosh, officiating.
