Irena Yerry Kos, 78, of Ormond Beach, Fl, formerly of Kingston, died Monday, March 21, 2011 at The Halifax Memorial Hospital, Daytona Beach, FL. She was born March 30, 1932 in Kingston, NY to the late Joseph and Anna (Barringer) Yerry.

She was married to her loving husband of 27 years, John Kos.

Mrs. Kos was a 1949 graduate of Kingston High School and retired in 1982 from New York Telephone as an operator. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a member of the Tomoka Christian Church, Ormond Beach, Fl and a member of the Reformed Church of the Comforter, Kingston, NY. She was an avid game player including Bingo, Bunco, and Chinese checkers. She did watercolor and pencil art work as well.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her two sons, Clifford M. Smith and his wife Rosalind of Seabeck, WA, Joel F. Smith and his wife Jennifer of Lake Katrine, NY as well as three grandchildren, Daniel J. Smith, Collin J. Smith and Jenna A. Smith.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her first husband Mendel Smith and her brother Harold Yerry.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am with the Rev. Dr. Dave Brechter officiating.

Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston, NY.

Friends may call on Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm
