Ione M Taft

Kingston - Ione M. Taft of Main St. died Friday, November 11, 2016 at home. She was 96. She was born in Middletown, OH a daughter of the late Casper and Jean Gailey Noell. A textile designer, she worked for HM Textile in New York City prior to raising her family. Her husband, Dr. Richard Taft died October 25, 1994. Surviving are two daugthers, Margaret (Margo) Beaman and her husband John of Kingston; Donna Coyner and her husband Robert of Lynchburg, VA; two step-sons, Robert Taft of Glens Falls and William Taft of Florida and a sister, Jane Fitzgerald and her husband Harry of Seattle, WA. Seven grandchildren, Shawn, Kirk and Lee Manning; Michelle Therin; Jason and Robert Coyner and Tara Casadone; nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ticonderoga, NY.
