Ida Weinstein of Florence St., Kingston died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 92.
She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of the late Hyman and Eva Esterkyn Nearon.
A graduate of Kingston High School, she served in the army during WW II. She and her husband were former owners of the Kingston China and Bar Supply. She was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and Ahavath Israel and a former member of Hadassah. She was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting for rocks and minerals.
Surviving is her husband, Isidore Weinstein and two sons, Herschel Weinstein and his wife Jackie Kearney of Nyack and Ira Weinstein and his wife Sandy of Annapolis, MD. Seven grandchildren, Nathan, Adam, Max and Jake Weinstein and Isabelle, Celeste and Leah Weinstein also survive.
A funeral service will be held at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Tuesday at 12:00 PM. Rabbi Jesse Olitzky will officiate. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
