Howard R. Dawson

Howard "Howie" R. Dawson, 70, of Powell Ave, Bronx, formerly of Kingston, died Wednesday, November 19, at Westchester Square Medical Center, Raymond Ave., Bronx. He was born November 2, 1938 in Kingston, NY to the late Wilder and Mabel (Fitzgerald) Dawson, Sr..

He had been employed locally in the brick and cement plants, his many talents included hairstyling, interior decorating and a love for fancy cars.

Howard is survived by his loving companion of many years Charmayne B. Jones, Bronx, NY, daughters Colleen Dawson, Nadine Daville and Rochelle Dawson, Letha Dawson all of Schenectady, son Darren Dawson, North Carolina, daughter Christina Dawson, Kingston, NY and Cassandra Dassie, Kingston, NY, Melanie Dawson, Georgia, Dorthea Price, Albany, NY, several step children, his wife June A. Dawson, Schenectady, brother Wilder Dawson, Jr. and Warren Dawson, Sr., and a sister Jacqueline Bryant all of Kingston, a aunt Georgia Dawson, Rhinebeck, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston.

A Homegoing Service will be held at the Pointe Of Praise Family Life Center on Monday at 4 pm. The family will receive their friends from 2 - 4 pm. Light a candle in memory of Howie at www.KeyserFuneralService.com .
