Horace "Gene" Nelson

Horace ''Gene'' Nelson, 79, of Kingston, NY, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus in Kingston. He was born March 6, 1938 in Live Oak , FL to Alexander Nelson and Leola Martin. Gene worked for the Kingston Housing Authority for many years. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and bowling leagues in Kingston. His favorite pastime was fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Nelson, his children, Akika, Jeannine, Cindijo, Horace, Jr., Akiko, Joshua, Bobby, Robert, Dominick, Eddie, and Tony, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday February 27, 2018 from 1pm to 4:30pm at the Reformed Church of Port Ewen, 160 Salem St., Port Ewen, NY 12466.
