Hilda Scheringer

Hilda R. Scheringer, 81, of Marbletown, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine, NY, where she lived for over 20 years. Hilda was born at home in Marbletown on May 19, 1942, daughter of the late Moses and Hattie (Keator) Carney. She married Herbert Scheringer, Sr., in 1973. Herbert passed away in 2019.

Hilda attended Atwood Elementary School (one-room schoolhouse), Marbletown Elementary School, and Kingston High School. She worked at the Governor Clinton Hotel, Gateway, and later at ARC as a Service Coordinator. 

Hilda is survived by her brother, Bernard Carney of Stone Ridge, NY, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Hilda is predeceased by 10 siblings.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10am to 11am. The funeral service will be held at 11am with burial following in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge, NY.
