Hester Ricketson

Hester ''Peggy'' Ricketson 94, of Maxwell Lane, Kingston, NY, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, NY. She was born November 16, 1914 in Kingston, NY to the late Warren and Rachel (Wells) Stokes. She was married to Bennett Ricketson who died in 1972.

She had worked at Hadler's Nursing Home and Albany Ave. Nursing Home for many years as head cook. She was an avid Bingo player and loved to crochet.

Hester is survived by her sons Thomas Ricketson and his wife Pat, Kingston, NY, brother Floyd Stokes, Georgia and Vince Stokes, Kingston, NY, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mother of the late Carl, Bennett Jr., William Ricketson, Bernice Sickler, Patricia Vasi and Marie Ricketson, sister of the late Oliver, Robert, Tom Stokes, Betty Belin and Virginia Wood

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, where services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am. Rev. Dr. David M. Brechter, officiating. Burial in Rosendale Plains Cemetery, Rosendale. Friends may call on Friday from 6 - 9 pm
