Henry J. Werber

Henry J. Werber, Jr., age 71, of Brigham Lane, Lake Katrine, a lifelong area resident, died Friday morning, January 25, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston. Mr. Werber was born September 17, 1936 at Poughkeepsie, NY the son of the late Henry J. Sr. and Kathryn Sullivan Werber

He served in the New York State National Guard; he retired from IBM in 1992 after 36 years of service. Following that he worked part time in security for Axiom at Tech City until 2006

He was an avid Mets and Giants fan, he played all sports including softball and golf. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his beloved wife of 50 years, Beverly Bettenhausen Werber, whom he married July 13, 1957.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters: Debra Havlin of St. Augustine, FL, Susan Fabbie of Lake Katrine, NY, Jennifer Couris of Boston, MA, Vicky DuBois of Lake Katrine, NY and three sons: William Werber of Mechanicsville, NY, Jeffrey Werber of Port Henry, NY, Timothy Werber of Kingston, NY two brothers: James Werber of LaGrangeville, NY, Timothy Werber of Port Ewen, NY seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins

The funeral will be Sunday at 4:00 at Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston with Rev. Dr. David Brechter officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 1 - 4 pm
Burial in Hurley Cemetery will be private at the discretion of the family.
