Henry Arnold Pinckney

Henry Arnold Pinckney, 69, of Kingston, NY, formerly of Williston Park and Freeport, NY died at home on December 19, 2016, with his wife at his side. He was born October 22, 1947 to the late Henry and Lillian Pinckney.

After graduating high school, Arnold enlisted in the US Marine Corps, serving from 1965 to 1969, completing a 13 month tour in Vietnam, receiving several commendations. After returning home Arnold worked as a Corrections Officer for Nassau County, retiring in 1991.

Arnold was a member of Bethel AME Church in Freeport, NY. He was a talented drummer and loved all genres of music. Arnold enjoyed watching all sports and riding his Harley. He had a great sense of humor and loved engaging in spirited conversation. Arnold will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Grace, his children, Kevin and Heather, and their mother, Rita, his step children Elaine and Lisa, his five grandchildren, Shanee, Malik, Nicole, Natalie and Matthew; his step grandchildren, Joseph, Emma, Thomas and Jake, his brother Jerome (Florence), his cousin Lanny, sisters in law, Michele, Jane and Marianne. He is predeceased by his two sons, Arend and Derek, and his brother in law, Torre.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where family and friends may visit on Tuesday, December 27th, from 4:00 to 7:00pm. The funeral service will take place at the same location on Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00am with burial following at Montrepose Cemetery, 75 Montrepose Avenue, Kingston, NY.
