Kingston- Helen M. Emmick of Harding Ave. died Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at home. She was 85.
She was born March 10, 1919 in Brooklyn, a daughter of the late Frank W. and Ida M. Bailey Smith.
She was employed for 36 years in the tagging department of Hurcules Powder Corp. She retired in 1979. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and a member of AARP.
Her husband, John L. 'Jim' Emmick died April 17, 1991.
Surviving are two sisters, Ruth Errington of Reno, NV, Kathryn 'Kiki' Dulin of Lake Katrine and two brothers, Harold Smith of Kingston and Alfred E. Smith of Troy. Many, many nieces and nephews also survive.
Two sisters, Emily Coffey and Mary Savatgy died previously.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral procession will form on Saturday at 9:15 am at the funeral home. At 10:00 am, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
