Helen E. Harchut

Helen E. Harchut of Fairdale Ave., Lake Katrine died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center in Highland. She was 88. She was born June 1, 1920 in Tuxedo, a daughter of the late Edward and Julia Greene. For several years, she was employed in the office at Kingston High School. She was a parishioner of St. Colman's Church. Her husband, John J. Harchut died August 19, 1991. Surviving is her niece, Lucille Greene of Goshen, her sister-in-law, Anna Johnson and her brother-in-law, Casper Harchut and his wife Cairine. A brother, Edward Greene and a sister Elizabeth Gessner both died previously. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Monday from 2 4 & 7 9 PM. A funeral procession will form on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the funeral home. At 11:00 AM a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Colman's Church in East Kingston. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown.
