Helen E. Hamilton

Helen E. Hamilton, 87, of Commons Drive, Lake Katrine, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Benedictine Hospital. She was born January 25, 1923 in Kingston, to the late Harry and Edna (Fredrick) Lowe.




She was the wife of the late Reginald C. Hamilton, Sr. who died March 5, 1988.




Helen had been a member of Trinity Methodist Church, she had been a seamstress having worked for several area knitting mills, had worked at Grand Union, at both the By Pass location and the uptown location as a bakery assistant, she sold Stanley Home Products for many years, she had also represented All Ways Products, she volunteered at the Kingston Recreational Center helping seniors, she had also belonged to the "lunch a bunchers" senior's lunch club, additionally she had volunteered to sew hats and pillows for cancer patients.




Helen is survived by her daughter Cheryl A. Temple, Kingston, NY, son Reginald C. Hamilton, Jr., Saugerties, NY, daughter Nancy L. Zehnick, Kingston, NY, son Robert B. Hamilton, Largo, FL, Russell L. Hamilton, Kingston, NY, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 great grandchildren, 4 brothers John, Harry, Eugene and Richard Lowe, 4 sisters Edna McDonald, Rita Krom, Francis Mergandahl and Florence Russell






Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, Friends may call on Wednesday from 2- 4 & 7 - 9. The services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am, at the funeral home, the Rev. Arlene Dawber, officiating. Burial in Montrepose Cemetery.




The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 95 Schwenk Drive, Kingston, NY 12401
