Harry ''Al'' Terwilliger, 94, of Kingston, was called home to the lord on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine. He was born February 9, 1919 in Ellenville to the late Harry and Gertrude (Colville) Terwilliger.
He was married to Alva (Rielly) Terwilliger. Alva passed away in May of 2000. Al worked in his family's business, Terwilliger Brothers, for many years before retiring at age 65. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Kingston and was an avid fisherman
Harry is survived by his daughters, Elaine Fitzgerald and her husband Glen Sr., Jennifer Ferraro, Michelle O'Leary and her husband Terrance, all of Kingston, grandchildren, Kelly Myers, Glen Fitzgerald Jr., Shawn Fitzgerald, Todd Fitzgerald, Lisa Terwilliger, Renee Yonnetti, Lindsey O'Leary and Madison O'Leary as well as 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents he is predeceased by his sons, Stanley Terwilliger and Paul Terwilliger and his sister Ruth Connell.
Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7pm. A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Joseph's RC Church at 10am on Friday. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to, Benedictine Health Foundation, Cancer Services, 105 Mary's Ave., Kingston, NY 12401.
