Harry Joseph Wong, Jr., 68, of New Salem Road, Kingston, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was born March 4, 1940 in NYC, to Olivia (Fair) Wong Jeffress of Kingston and the late Harry Wong, Sr. He was raised by his mother and his step father Garfield Jeffress who died on March 19, 1991.

Harry had attended Kingston High School. A veteran of US Navy for 20 years, he attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer, he served on the USS Arcadia, as well as many other duty stations. He had also worked for the Regional Blood Bank of Maine.
He enjoyed playing racquetball and while in the Navy was on the team, he had been the top rated player in the Navy. He was an avid runner, and also enjoyed all types of sports. He was a member of the Town of Esopus American Legion Post # 1298

In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother Eugene G. Jeffress and his wife Donna, sister Diana Wong, children Ashley and Brandon Wong, Renee Harris, Suzie Wong and Jay Wong, a host of grandchildren nieces and nephews.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, services will be private at the discretion of the family.
