Harold Bohlinger

Harold H. Bohlinger, Jr, 67, of Ulster Park, died January 11, 2018 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Pougkeepsie, he was a son of the late Harold H. & Marjorie Brink Bohlinger. Harry was a veteran of US Marines having served during the Vietnam War. He worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie for over 20 years. Harry was a very giving family oriented man, who was proud of his grandchildren and dedicated to his wife Helen. He and Helen liked taking vacations, working outside and spending time with their family and beloved dog, Tanner. Harry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Helen Mattero Bohlinger of Ulster Park, whom he married on October 31, 1996, two children, Jeremy Vining and his wife Kathy Lee of Wappinger Falls and Julie Raftis and her husband Elias of Poughkeepsie, two sisters, Linda Bohlinger of Hyde Park and Martha Lakin and her husband Mark of Poughkeepsie, a brother in law, Mike Shaw. Four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jacob, Jack, Lana and many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Shaw. Harry will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment will be held privately.
