Gregorio Buonocore of O'Neil St., Kingston died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at home. He was 93.
He was born in Agerola, Italy, a son of the late Gregorio and Luisa Criscuolo Bonacore.
Mr. Buonocore served in the Italian army during WW II.
On August 1, 1965, he married Filomena Viviani in Agerola, Italy and they moved to the U.S. in 1966 and settled in Astoria where Mr. Buonocore worked as butcher. In 1993, they moved to Kingston.
Mr. Buonocore enjoyed tending his garden and the company of his nieces and nephrews.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a sister, Lidia in Italy; his nephew and niece, Catello and Sylvia Viviani and several other nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and two sisters died previously.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Friday from 1 - 3 PM and 7 - 9 PM. A funeral procession will form on Saturday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home and process to St. Joseph's Church for a 10:00 AM funeral Mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston.
