Grace ''Gracie'' Young, 73, of Kingston, died Monday, December 13, 2010 at The Kingston Hospital. She was born June 24, 1937 in Baltimore to the late Ella and William Jackson.




She was married to Elmer Young who passed away in 1988.




Grace was a Seamstress for many years until she moved to Kingston from Baltimore in the early 1990's. She was often described as vivacious and outgoing by family and friends. She loved to watch wrestling, listen to music, dance, play bingo and collect jewelry and dolls. She also often cooked for her neighbors at Yosman Tower. Most of all she enjoyed the company of her family especially her grand children.




She is survived by her son Steven Riddick and his wife Lori of Kingston, her sisters Josephine Baskerville of NJ and Louise Moore of Baltimore, MD, her mother-in-law Ruth Powers of Kingston, grandchildren Shakeira, Erika, Regina, Rasheeda and Naseria, a neice Sylvia Holly, a nephew Clifton Vanlandingham, as well as many great grandchildren.




Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY 12401. Services will be held at the King's Fire International Church, 865 Neighborhood Road, Lake Katrine, NY 12449 on Tuesday at 12 noon.




Friends may call on Tuesday from 10am to 12pm at the church.




Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston.
