Gloria E. Savino, age 90, of Stanardsville, VA, formerly of Kingston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 due to complications from Alzheimer's disease.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Blaise Micucci and Lillian Esposito Micucci. Gloria graduated from beauty school and practiced as a beautician and manicurist for many years.
Family and friends were Gloria's passion and delight. She loved to cook and entertain, played Mahjongg, and loved to visit Atlantic City. She volunteered at Kingston Hospital and was a 50-year member of St. Joseph's Parish.
Gloria was a caring, compassionate woman who was loved by so many people. Her zest for life was unmatched, and her home was always open to everyone.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas, in 1999 and a daughter, Geraldine in 1983.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice and Michael Augustine of Ocala, Fl, and Carol Ann and Charles Lewis of Ruckersville, VA; also two grandsons, Charles "Ryan" Lewis and wife Jamie of Oak Park, IL and Capt. Nicholas Sean Lewis and wife Amy of Bloomfield, CO. She is also survived by 4 beautiful great-grandchildren, Marin and Graeme of IL and Samuel and Benjamin of CO. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
Gloria will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Thursday at 9:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church.
Interment will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery
