Gloria Chappory

Gloria Chappory was born December 20, 1949 in Corona, NY to the later Walter Thomas Cannady Sr. and Margaret Ward-Cannady. Gloria passed away on April 22, 2014. She was lovingly called "Glo" "Mom" "Grandma" and among Jehovah Witnesses she was called "Sister Chappory".

Raised in Corona, New York she was the youngest of 6 children; Walter (deceased), Vivian, Theresa, Presley and Joseph (deceased). She graduated Alexander Hamilton High School in 1968. In October 1972 she married Albert Aston Manning.

Later on in life she relocated to Kingston, NY where she met Robert (Bob) Chappory. On March 12th 2004 she became his loving and devoted wife, shortly after which she rededicated her life serving Jehovah.

Gloria's deep love for Jehovah and her family was evident. She nourished the people around her with love, joy, and faith. Gloria recently was able to unite and spend quality time with all of her children, grandchildren, and sisters. She even took the time to help the North Babylon congregation with their letter writing campaign.

Gloria is survived by her loving and devoted husband Robert (Bob) Chappory, four children; David Cannady, Christopher & Daniel Manning, Jennifer Stanley, Son in law Mark Stanley and Daughter in law Deedra Manning. Sisters, Vivian Richardson and Theresa Webb, one brother Presley Cannady, Sister in laws Doris Cannady, Susan Rivera, Theresa Chappory, Brother in laws, Kenneth Webb and Kenneth Chappory.

Her legacy includes 13 grandchildren who she adored and was devoted to, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Brothers and Sisters of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Gloria was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
