Gina Kinyon, 54 of Hurley, New York passed peacefully Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Gina was born August 22, 1963, the cherished daughter of the late Robert Knox, Sr., and Judith Knox in Kingston, New York.
A native of Kingston, Gina worked over 15 years at the Ulster County Infirmary now Golden Hill Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Kingston, New York. Gina loved playing softball and for many years played and sponsored a team in Kingston, "G's Unit." She also loved to be surrounded by family and frequently hosted parties and cookouts at her home. Every gathering was an occasion for her mac and cheese, a family favorite. Gina was known for always dressing fashionably. If there was a wrinkle in her clothes, a hair out of place or the outfit did not match from the top of her head to the soles of her feet, she was not stepping out until it was right! Her sons can attest to this because simply put, Gina did not play!
Gina leaves behind to honor her memory her mother, Judith Knox, her loving husband, Ricky Kinyon, Sr., who she married on July 13, 2002, beloved sons, Derrick S. Knox and Ricky Kinyon, Jr., step-children, Shinelle Fernandez, Malcolm Kinyon, Robert Kinyon and Zachary Kinyon. Siblings: Keith Brown (Shirley), Ted VanDyke, Jr. (Mary), Debra Benson, Vella Bergeron, Daryl VanDyke (Diane), Dwayne Henderson (Reshma), Robert Knox, Jr., Stephanie Wilson (Hilton), Guy Knox (Takayo), Steve Knox (Dawn) and Crystal Knox.
