Geraldine "Gerie" M. (Washburn) Carosella, 63, of Ridgewood Ave, Hurley, NY, formerly of Staten Island, NY, died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, NY. She was born March 19, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Douglas N. and Geraldine M. Jenkins Washburn.




She was married to Savino "Sal" Carosella., who died on December 17, 1994.




Graduate of Ulster County Community College.




Gerie was the Payroll Officer for Ulster County, before retiring in 2007.




She was a communicant of St. Joseph's RC Church, Kingston.




Geraldine is survived by her:


Son; Stephen C. Carosella, Hurley, NY,


Brother; Douglas and his wife Victoria Washburn, Peru, IL,


Sister; Jane and her husband Danny Madden, Phil Campbell, AL,


Companion; Peter P. Brereton, Hurley, NY,


Many Nieces & Nephews.




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, where the procession will form on Thursday at 9AM and proceed to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church,


where at 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated .




Burial will be in Hurley Cemetery, Hurley, following the Mass.




Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 - 9 pm, at the funeral home.
