Gerald F. Brandt

Gerald ''Jerry'' F. Brandt, 74, of Hurley, passed suddenly Saturday, June 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 1, 1939 in Kingston, to the late Harry and Cora Smith Brandt.




Jerry was a graduate of Kingston High School and served in the US Navy from 1956 - 1960. He was a professional licensed land surveyor, having owned and operated Gerald F. Brandt Land Surveyor of Hurley.




He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed projects around the house, tinkering with all kinds of things. He was an all round handyman.




Jerry is survived by his loving wife Florence R. Ferguson Brandt "his honey", children, Christopher Danczak, Jennifer Husta and her husband Scott, Gerald Brandt, Jr., Regina Heller and her husband Walter and Georgann Sievert, grandchildren Vincent Rapp, Jr., Lara Hart, Leeann Cullen and Ryan Husta, and 5 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters Cora Riley, Roger Brandt, Charles Brandt, Doris Brandt, Shirley Gollnick, Barry Brandt and Joyce Brandt and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Walter, Harry, Donald, Ralph, Ronald and John and his sister Aileen Bushey.




Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 4 - 8 pm. The service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am.
