George P. Vogel

George P. Vogel, 84 of High Falls, NY, died Sunday, February 20, 2011. He was born December 31, 1926 in Kingston to the late Charles and Clara (Saulpaugh) Vogel.

George was married to his loving wife of 62 years, Bianca (Ertel) Vogel.

He attended Columbia University prior to enlisting in the Navy during World War II. After his honorable discharge he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Union College in Schenectady.

George was the Owner and President of Ertel Engineering in Kingston for 40 years.

He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Kingston for over 50 years and also served on the Board of Wiltwyck Cemetery for many years.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Valerie V. VanGaasbeek-Pagliaro and her husband Anthony of Kingston, Stephanie Blackwell and her husband George Bailey of Fairfield, CT, George P. Vogel and his wife Lynne of Darien, CT, Bianca V. Quigley and her husband George of High Falls, NY, twelve grandchildren, one great-grandson as well as several nieces and nephews.

George is predeceased by his son Gregory Mark Vogel.
