George R. Nichols

George Nichols, 68, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. He was born on August 27, 1954 in Rhinebeck, NY and is the son of the George Nichols and the late Bertha Vanderbeck.

George served in the United States Navy from 1973-1977. During his time in the service George learned electrical work and became an electrician by trade.

He is survived by his children Melissa (Richard) Shank (Tonawanda, NY), Erica Shopland (Beverly Hills, FL), and George (Jamie) Nichols (Union City, MI). His siblings John (Elizabeth) Nichols (Red Hook, NY) and Larry Nichols (Saugerties, NY). His father George Nichols (Saugerties, NY). George is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

George is preceded in death by his mother Bertha Vanderbeck and wife Regina Nichols.
