George E. Fatum of Wrentham St., Kingston died Friday, August 5, 2011. He was 57. He was born in Kingston, a son of the late George A. and Norma Phinney Fatum. Mr. Fatum was retired as a trackman for CSX Railway. He was a member of the Teamsters-Brotherhood of the Maintenance Way. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling and golf. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Valerie Kearney Fatum; two daughters, Shannon Fatum of Kingston and Tanya Fatum of Ulster Park; two sisters, Sharon Krasher of Saugerties and Kathie Ann Fisk of Jacksonville, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Two brothers, Charles and John Fatum died previously. Friends will be received at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Wednesday from 3 - 6:30 PM. At 6:30, a memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Richard Mueller. Memorial contributions may be directed to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 22 Livingston St., Kingston, NY 12401.
