George J. Brown

George J. Brown, 79, of St. Remy, NY, passed away Sunday July 17, 2022 at home. He was born July 28, 1942 in Kingston, NY, son of the late Edward F. and Agnes (Cabel) Brown. He was the husband of Patricia (Dressel) Brown; they married in January of 1976.

He was a graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1961. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force for six years, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. For eight and a half years George worked for UPS, then he worked in parts for H.O. Penn Machinery Company in Poughkeepsie for many years until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by his sisters; Barbara Dugan, Dolores Olson, and Betty Policastro, as well as many nieces and nephews. George is predeceased by his son Brian Brown, his brother, Tom Brown, and his sisters, Anna Deyo, Geraldine Bigler, and Gertrude Landi.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466 where family and friends may visit on Thursday July 21, 2022 from 10am to 12pm with the funeral service taking place at 12pm. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Remy Rural Cemetery.
