Genevieve R. Polacco

Genevieve R. Polacco of East Chester Street, Kingston died at her son's Kingston residence. She was 82. She was born in Kingston on July 1, 1927, a daughter of the late Clayton and Jeanette Hillis Stalter. She was a Kingston High School graduate, class of 1945. She married Charles J. Polacco, Sr. Mrs. Polacco previously worked at NY Telephone, Kingston. For many years she worked as a court officer for the Ulster County Court, Kingston. Mrs. Polacco was a member and Past President of the Ladies Society of Santa Maria. She was an avid NY Mets fan and enjoyed Bingo and Trips to Atlantic City. Her son, Clayton J. Polacco died previously. One brother Clayton A. Stalter Jr. and one sister Violet G. Williams both died previously. Surviving are her husband Charles J. Polacco, Sr., two sons Charles J. Polacco Jr. and his wife Linda of Kingston; James M. Polacco and his wife Mary of Kingston, one daughter Barbara A. Tremper and her husband John of Kingston; eight grandchildren Jason Tremper, Julie Jones, C.J. Polacco III, Tanya Williams, Ryan Polacco, Krista Polacco, Maryelizabeth Polacco and Katelynn Polacco; thirteen great grandchildren Imani and Camryn Tremper, Destiny, Cera, Cloe and Makayla Jones, Jordan and Chad Polacco, Zachary, Brandon and Kaylee Williams, Cassandra and Rylee Polacco; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Frank Damis will officiate. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery, Barclay Heights.
