Gary Rubino

Gary W. Rubino, Sr., 68, of Highland passed peacefully Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was born September 27, 1948 in Poughkeepsie, the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Litts) Rubino.


Gary was the husband of the late Amy Rose Rubino, she passed January 17, 2005.


For many years, he drove trucks for Robinson Refuse Service of Highland and also for several other companies. He had been a member of the Clintondale Fire Department. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.


Gary is survived by his children, Josette Rubino Tucker, Gary Rubino, Jr., Tina Keener and her husband Darren, his step daughter, Tracey Mackey, his siblings Sherri Watson and George Litts, his daughter in law Kim Rubino, four grandchildren, Meadow, Faith, Robert and Shelby. He was predeceased by a two sons, Joe Rubino, James David Rubino, and his step son, Michael Rubino.


A Celebration of Gary's Life will be at Lloyd Methodist Church, 476 New Paltz Road

Highland, NY 12528, on Saturday October 29th at 2pm.
