Gabriele E. Margules

Gabriele E. Margules, 89, of Kingston, died, Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Tachau, Czechoslovakia, she was a daughter of the late David & Rosa Zerline Leinwand Margules. Gabriele worked for Harpers Magazine, Forbes Magazine and Archeology Magazine, before retiring in 1989. After retirement, she worked part-time as a tour guide with Bosco Bel in Garrison and then the Senate House. However, above all else, she was a freelance artist who worked in pastel watercolors and pen & ink drawings. Gabriele is survived by many cousins and friends in the US, Holland, France, Israel and Brazil. In addition to her parents, Gabriele was predeceased by her sister, Josefa Nina Lieberman, in 2012. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM, with Rabbi A.B. Itkin, officiating. Interment will follow in Wellwood Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA, 20 Wiedy Rd, Kingston, NY 12401.
