Frederick R. Christiana

Frederick R. Christiana, 79, of Kingston, passed peacefully Wednesday morning, April 15, 2015 at Ferncliff Nursing Home, Rhinebeck. He was born May 8, 1935 in Kingston, the son of late Frederick and Edna Christiana.


He was the husband of Patricia Wight Christiana; they wed in Marbletown in 1990. Fred had served in the US Army in the late 1950's. For many years he worked as a system analyst for IBM in Kingston and he had enjoyed hunting and carpentry.


In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters: Michelle Brown and her husband Jim of North Carolina, MaryBeth Christiana of Kingston, Susan Wood and her husband Kevin of Kingston, step children, Richard Hasbrouck of Poughkeepsie, James Hasbrouck of AZ and Kelley Hasbrouck of Kingston, three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and three step great grand children. He was predeceased by his step son Jack Hasbrouck.


Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, The family will receive their friends on Friday from 4 - 7. The service will be Saturday at 11 am. Burial in Hurley Cemetery, with military honors provided by Joyce Schirick Post # 1386 VFW.
