Hurley - Frederick M. Brinkman, 89, of Riverside Ave. passed away peacefully Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home surrounded by his children. He was born April 13, 1926 in Kingston, a son of the late Edgar and Florence Hafner Brinkman. Mr. Brinkman served in the army during WW II. He received a Purple Heart after being wounded. He was employed as a deputy with the Ulster County Sheriff's Office for forty years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Deyo Brinkman on August 19, 2007. Surviving are four daughters, Linda Brinkman of Lake Katrine, Kathryn McNally and her husband Mark of Lake Katrine, Shirley Redmond and her husband Michael of Virginia Beach, VA, Brenda Every of Ruby and one son, Wayne Brinkman of Hurley. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Glenna Burke, Terrence Burke, Katie Reihbandt and her husband Todd, Michael Burke, Caitlin Johnson, Jordan Redmond, Michaela Redmond, Shaelynn Every and seven great-grandchildren with another one on the way. He was also predeceased by a brother, George Brinkman. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston. Private funeral services and burial will be in Mt.
