Frederick Gilbert

Frederick Gilbert, 88, of Ferncliff, Rhinebeck, formerly of Kingston, NY, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital. He was born March 10, 1921 in Kingston, NY to the late Everett P and Anna (Steinmiller) Gilbert.

He was a Sergeant in the United States Army, served during World War II in European Theater of operations. He had worked for the Benedictine Hospital until his retirement. He had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Frederick is survived by his brother Floyd W. Gilbert, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Everett Gilbert and Anna Striving.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Graveside service will be held at Montrepose Cemetery on Thursday at 2:00 pm.
