Fred Jones

Fred Walter Jones, 72 of Sleightsburgh, NY passed peacefully on October 9th at Golden Hill after a long illness. He was born on April 22, 1951 to George Jones & Lena Sickler of Kingston, NY.  Fred graduated from Kingston High School in 1969 went on later to attend Bakersfield College, CF.  He retired from Port Ewen Water & Sewer. He worked alongside his in-laws, John & Sadie Hoy, both deceased, for 50 years at the family business of Marinas.  

Fred leaves behind his wife of 53 yrs., Sharon, his son, Dustin, grandson Kastin, nephew, Matthew, cousins, Lester & Margaret Langon, who were always there for him, his sister, Gertrude Schonger & many other cousins, nieces & nephews.  

Fred had wishes for no services which we will honor. We will hold a private family service at a later date. Fred will be missed by us all. His jokes, dances, projects & most of all his cooking. He is at peace now.
