Woodstock- Frank E. Geraci Jr. of Woodstock died suddenly August 1, 2004. He was 61.
He was born January 11, 1943 in Queens, a son of Francis E. Geraci Sr. and the late June Metcalf Geraci.
From 1962 to 1965 he served in the Air Force. An electrical engineer, he was employed by IBM in Kingston for 27 years, retiring in 1963. For the last eight years, he was a certified financial planner for Fleet.
Mr. Geraci was a parishioner of St. John’s Church in Holly Hills and a former Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the board of the United Cerebral Palsy of Ulster County, Inc. and was a former president. He was a former cub master, Little League manager, avid golfer and enthusiastic RV’er. He was a member of the NRA, the IBM Quarter Century Club and Kingston Council K of C.
He was married to the late Colleen Godfrey Geraci who died February 6, 2003.
In addition to his father of Oakdale, LI, he will be missed by his son James E. Geraci of Albany, his son Wayne P. and his wife Joan of Port Ewen and his daughter, Jill Aberle and her husband Matthew of Kingston, his grandchildren, Becky and Joe Geraci and sisters Carol McConnachie and Bonnie Tagliente both of Bayshore and Kim Starzewski of Germantown, MD and his mother-in-law, Phyllis Godfrey of Kingston. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6 – 8 pm. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:00 am. At 10:00 am, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Church in West Hurley. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston.
