Francis A Duff

Francis A. Duff a long time area resident died at his home on Hidden Valley Road, Saturday, September 2, 2006. He was 82. Born in Flushing, New York on February 23, 1924 he was a son to the late Frank A Duff Sr. and Mary A. Crosier Duff. Upon leaving Flushing he graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy as a commissioned officer. He served in Maritime and Naval Services in World War II and Korea in convoy and beachhead landings. A long time area resident and formerly of Stone Ridge he was employed by Duso Foods Distributors in Ellenville as a wholesale representative for many years. One sister Loretta Duff died previously. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Kathleen Okane Duff; three daughters, Deborah Duff of Minnesota, Patricia Duff of Shandagen, and Megan Mercado of Hurley; three sons, Terrance Duff of North Carolina, Christopher Duff of Washington, and Timothy Duff of Virginia; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
