Kingston Frances M. Turck died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Kingston Hospital. She was 96.
She was born Frances Gatti in Kingston Point, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Catherine Fiore Gatti. After the death of her father, her mother married Frank Turck who then adopted Frances.
Frances began work, at an early age, at area shirt factories. On August 25, 1935 she married Charles J. "Jimmy" Turck. For over 50 years Frances ran, with her husband and then her son John, the family business: Charles J. Turck Insurance Co., formerly of Broadway, Kingston. She held an Insurance Broker's License, Real Estate Broker's License and was a Notary Public. She retired at age 81.
She was recognized, by the Benedictine Hospital Auxiliary, for over 50 years of volunteer service. A parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, she was a Charter Member of Wiltwyck Golf Club. Frances belonged to Zonta and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and cherished her yard work, flower gardening and golfing.

Turck and his wife Rosalie of Kingston; sister of Rose Turck of CT and the late Sam J. Turck, Mary Bruno, Thomas Turck, Francis X. Turck and Anthony Turck; grandmother of William Reynolds, James Reynolds and his wife Jolynn, Andrea Reynolds Griffin and her husband Sean; Leigh Ann Van De Bogart and her husband Gregory; Sandra Turck Dale and her husband James; Lory Turck Cummings and her husband Steven; Jayne Turck Roberti and her husband Nick; Helene Turck Zimmerman and her husband James; great grandmother of Sean, Elizabeth and James Reynolds; Theresa Vallejo Nunez; Natalie Vallejo; Clara Griffin; Colvin Van De Bogart; James and John Dale; Andrew and Rachel Cummings; Taylor Roberti; Jordan Zimmerman; great grandmother of Aidan Vallejo. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Thursday from 2 4 & 7 9 PM. A funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Friday at 9:15 a.m. and process to St. Joseph's Church for a 10:00 Funeral Mass. Fr. Thomas Berardi, her Godson, will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
