Frances M. 'Faye' Sinagra Parsons died Monday, May 10, 2004 at Kingston Hospital. She was 88.
She was born in Summit, NJ on September 17, 1915, a daughter of the late Philip and Rose Bondi Sinagra. Mrs. Parsons moved to New Paltz as a child and for many years lived on Shivertown Road. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, New Paltz.
Faye first worked as a beautician in New Paltz. She later worked at I.B.M., Kingston.
An avid quilter, she was proficient at tatting, crochet knitting, crewel, embroidery and macramé. She belonged to the Wiltwyck Quilters Guild for over 10 years. She also belonged to the Magical Blanket Quilters and worked on the Bicentenial Quilt on display at the UCC Library.
Mrs. Parsons enjoyed travel, camping, cooking, reading and gardening. She belonged to the Columbiettes, Kingston Council #275.
Her husband David H. Parsons died in 1976. Three sisters Nuella Writer, Jennie Parsons and Grace D. Turco and one brother Joseph A. Sinagra all died previously.

Sister of Andrew and Sam Sinagra and the late Nuella Writer, Jennie Parsons, Grace D. Turco and Joseph A. Sinagra. Seven step grandchildren Frankie, Nicholas and David Parsons, Bryan and Melissa Adels, April and Jennifer Tedesco; three step great grandchildren Amber Adels, Bradley and Cheyanne Parsons; aunt of Katherine Morse, Ronald Sinagra, Rosemary, Phillip Sinagra, Lisa Turpak, Wayne Writer, Antoinette Faluotico, Anthony Sinagra, Rosemarie Sinagra, Angelina Simpson, and Phillip J. Sinagra; great aunt of Michelle and John Grossbohlin, Tina and David Mahoney, Danielle and James Diehl, Matthew Morse, Wade Writer, Jerod Writer and many other great nieces and nephews; great great aunt of Jesse and Joshua Grossbohlin, Sierra and Elizabeth Mahoney, Helena Diehl and many other great great nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue, Kingston on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
The Columbiettes, Kingston Council 275 will meet at the funeral home on Friday at 3:00 PM for a vigil service.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Main and Wall Streets, Kingston at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston.
