KINGSTON- Frances M. Prusack of Flatbush Ave. died Sunday, October 12, 2003 at the home of her great-granddaughter in the Town of Ulster. She was 91.
She was born June 1, 1912 in New York City, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Josephine Dazzo Coniglio.
For many years, along with her husband, operated the former Rookie’s Tavern on the Strand in Kingston. She also worked in food service for the Kingston Consolidated School District. Mrs. Prusack was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
She enjoyed card parties and bingo.
Her husband, Ignatius F. “Rookie” Prusack died December 30, 1973.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie Gallagher of Naples, FL and two sisters, Ida Henry and June Griggs, both of Port Ewen. One granddaughter, Sharon Lange and her husband Walter, one great-granddaughter, of Lauren Creagan and her husband, Barry , one great-great granddaugter, Madison Creagan. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Three sisters, Veronica Corcoran, Lucy Perry, Mary Dempsey and a brother, John Coniglio died previously.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wed. from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Thur. at 9:15 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church by Fr. John Borzuchowski. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston.
