Frances C. Resso, formerly of Conifer Lane, Town of Ulster died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the Golden Hill Health Care Facility. She was 88.
She was born in Glasco on July 16, 1916, a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Martino Provenzano. For many years she worked as a machine operator at the former Barclay Knitting Mills. On September 5, 1937 she married Alfred C. Resso.
In 1954 Mrs. Resso moved to Kingston. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, Kingston.
Her husband Alfred Resso died July 8, 2003. Her granddaughter Cheryl Maines Galvin died previously. Five brothers Thomas A., Joseph, Michael, Frank and John S. Provenzano and one sister Theresa Fabiano all died previously.
Surviving are two daughters Marion Resso Maines and her husband Thomas of Kingston and Katheline Resso Bathrick and her husband Michael of Town of Ulster; five grandchildren James DePietro, Kathleen F. Maines-Kane, Richard W. DePietro, Michael DePietro and Tricia Clark; seven great grandchildren Brian Galvin, James, Jacob and Joseph DePietro, William, Alyssa and Adrianna Clark; many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery.
