Floyd J. 'Skippy' Osterhoudt, of Crosswell Manor Dr., Shokan, died Monday, September 3, 2007 in Albany Medical Center. He was 45.
He was born in Kingston on October 16, 1961, a son of Floyd E. Osterhoudt and Dolores Caunitz Osterhoudt. Floyd was a class of '79 graduate of Saugerties High School.
After working at several jobs, Floyd became the manager of the produce department for Boiceville Supermarket. He worked there for 10 years. For the past 7 years he was the assistant produce manager at Hurley Ridge Market, West Hurley.
Floyd was a hunter and fisherman. His passion was his Harley.
Surviving are his son Floyd Osterhoudt of Saugerties, his fiance Debra Lloyd of Shokan, his mother Dolores Caunitz Osterhoudt of Saugerties, his father and step mother Floyd Emmett Osterhoudt and Christina Osterhoudt of Boiceville; two sisters Mary Lou Bradford of Cementon and Tina M. Osterhoudt of Brooklyn; his maternal grandmother Mary E. Caunitz of the Town of Ulster, his paternal grandmother Marge Piccoli; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
His maternal grandfather Norman W. Caunitz, paternal grandfather Frank Piccoli and uncle Norman J. Caunitz died previously.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday at 12:00 at the funeral home, Rev. David M. Jolly will officiate.
