Florence Pitchon of Flatbush Rd., Kingston died Wednesday, December 2, 2009. She was 84.
She was born January 12, 1925 in New York City, a daughter of the late Leon J. and Ricka Halewa Pitchon.
She was a resident of Ulster-Greene ARC's Palmer Center since November, 1984.
Florence enjoyed caring for young children and took great pride in her appearance. She is remembered for her mischievous sense of humor.
Surviving in addtion to her many friends at the Palmer Center are her brother, David Pitchon of California and her sister, Lenore Shanker of the Bronx.
Two sisters, Allegra Menahem, Mary Pike and a brother, Issac Pitchon died previously.
Friends and family with gather at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., on Friday from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral services will then be conducted by Cantor Robert Cohen. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston.
