Florence N. Orr

Florence N. Orr, age 86, of State Route 11, North Bangor, formerly of Kingston, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Orr was born November 4, 1921 at Kingston, NY the daughter of the late Francis Thomas and Nettie Mosher Elston. She married Thomas Orr on July 27, 1941 at Kingston.

She retired from Kingston City Schools Consolidated as a Cook Manager in 1979 and moved to North Bangor in 1986. Mrs. Orr was a member of Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church, and the 1st Baptist Church of Malone, NY. She had been a very active volunteer at the Kingston YMCA, putting on many dinners. After moving to North Bangor she helped at the Bonesteels Garden Center in North Bangor.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Orr, daughters: Joan M. and her husband Herman Stein of Rhinebeck, NY and Arleen M. and her husband Bruce O. Bonesteel of North Bangor, NY. Sister of Wallace Elston of New York, grandfather of Bruce Bonesteel, Jr; Stanley Bonesteel and his wife Lisa; Eileen and her husband Alan Dabiew; Thomas Bonesteel and his wife Brenda; Erich Stein and his wife Cindy; Christina and her husband Edward Boyle; Heidi and her husband John Hammerl; Herman Stein and his wife Nina. Sister of the late Gwendolyn Walling and Robert Elston

The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 at Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 2-4 &7-9 pm Burial in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston
