Felix J. Ambrose, 87, of Kingston, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024, at home with his family by his side. A lifelong Kingstonian, he was the son of the late Constantine and Amelia Ambrose.
Felix graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1957 and proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. While stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina he met the love of his life, Louise Ambrose. They were married on June 11, 1960 and lived in Kingston.
Felix spent his entire career at IBM, as a Senior Sales Executive. He loved spending time with family & friends and enjoyed gardening and tinkering around his Kingston home. He will be dearly missed.
Our family thanks a very special woman, Annette Hylton. Annette provided Felix with seven years of friendship, loving and tender care.
Felix is survived by his sons, John Ambrose and his wife Nancy (nee Fisher) of McLean, VA, and Peter Ambrose and his wife Kristen (nee Miller) of McLean, VA, his grandchildren, Kylie, Connor, Katie, and Jack, and his siblings, Mary Barlow, Joseph Ambrose, and Constance Ambrose. He is predeceased by his wife and siblings, Phyllis Sweeney & Bernadette Ambrose.
Friends and family will be received at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston, NY 12401 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 10am to 11am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston.
